Founded in 1987, with a corporate structure unchanged over time, the company carries out design, consultancy, site supervision and commissioning of civil engineering works in Italy and abroad, with an average staff of 45 units in the offices of Naples and Milan.ABOUT
The management is particularly dedicated to the aspects of scientific research, functional to the development of a cutting-edge professional activity, through the investigation of key aspects of structural and seismic engineering, such as super-elastic materials, seismic isolation, structural and infrastructural resilience. Two lines of research are currently underway, both in partnership with the University of California, Berkeley: the first for a research project funded by the California Strong Motion Instrumentation Program and directed by Professor Jack P. Moehle (Chairman of the United States Technical Standards ACI 318-19, American Concrete Institute); the second for the development of a new seismic isolator, characterized by the use of shape memory / super elastic materials (Nitinol) as the main mechanism resistant to horizontal loads.

Torre Piazzale TecchioBoth researches, and in particular the one about the seismic resilience , have determined the development of new methods of design and analysis aimed at minimizing seismic damage for structural and infrastructural works, and their expected economic losses, which characterise the current evolution of the professional practice of the company. In addition, still in the field of research and innovation, a particular effort is currently being directed to the deepening of the application of BIM to infrastructures, with particular reference to the full exploitation of the potential of the methodology applied to the entire cycle of the structure (project, construction, management, monitoring, maintenance, etc.).
